This is a cover image to accompany the paper my computational biology research group is publishing through Public Library of Science's Computational Biology journal. Although not directly derived from real science data, this represents the annotation of genes in long stretches of DNA with a tree in the background representing the key role that trees play in figuring out which annotations to use. This also marks my first foray into Blender, an open-source 3D tool. As such, I had to start from scratch so this looks like much of my other work.
